TERI College Planning and the College Planning Centers

“I’ve become an honorary resident of the neighborhoods I work in to fully understand their quirks and characteristics and to really serve the families who live there.”

–Jodi DiGregorio, ASA Education Advisor at TERI

Spotlight

For Education Advisors like Jodi DiGregorio, teaching families about financial aid means more than just sitting at a desk. She takes her message to high schools, college fairs, and community events, seeking out students and parents who haven’t even begun to face the reality of paying for college, or those who need help with the aid process but don’t know where to get it.

“So much of my outreach effort has been to students and parents regarding how financial aid works,” DiGregorio says. In tough financial times, families need Jodi’s guidance more than ever to create a realistic plan to pay for college. And she’s determined to keep college a viable option for these families, not merely a dream. To bring the far-off idea of higher education into the everyday lives of the families she works with, DiGregorio has been known to take students to tour area colleges for a dose of inspiration, and then follow up with one-on-one lessons on how to manage their household budgets.
