Creating educated student loan consumers
As part of our public purpose mission, American Student Assistance® is preparing the next generation of student loan borrowers for the responsibilities and benefits of loan ownership. Here’s how we’re doing it:
- – Offering free college planning, financial aid, and career counseling at branches of the Boston Public Library and at Massachusetts Educational Opportunity Centers
- – Partnering with Reach4Success in Washington, D.C., to administer the Financial Aid Roadmap program
- – Publishing a student loan advice column in local newspapers
- – Educating college access professionals on the college loan process
