It Takes a Campus: Your Role in Student Retention
Course Description
For years, the main focus of Enrollment Managers has been recruiting. Significant dollars are spent to ‘bring in the class,’ but not as much effort has been made to ensure the student’s success once they’re attending your institution. Institutions are now realizing that while recruiting the ‘right’ students is important—providing support to encourage their success is crucial. In this highly interactive session, participants will discuss the costs of attrition for both the institution and the student. Participants will also identify strategies that their institutions may want to implement to enhance their retention rate through discussions of student retention theories and recent studies.
